WoodRooted is operated by Dinh Nguyen LLC, founded in 2023 in Boulder, Colorado. We make handcrafted wooden furniture and home decor for people who would rather own one honest piece than three disposable ones.
Everything we sell is built from solid natural timber and finished by hand. We work in small batches, which means we can pay attention to the things that matter — how a joint fits, how an edge feels, how the grain runs across a tabletop.
Wood With a Story
Every piece begins with the timber. We select solid wood for its grain, colour and character, and we design around what the board gives us rather than forcing it into a shape it does not want to take.
Knots, mineral streaks, colour shifts and live edges are not flaws to be sanded away or hidden under paint. They are the record of how the tree grew. No two of our pieces are identical, and that is the point.
Quality in Every Detail
Our pieces are built with precise joinery and hand-finished surfaces. We use joinery that holds — the kind that survives being moved between homes — and finishes that protect the wood while still letting you feel it.
We do not mass-manufacture. Small-batch production means each piece passes through the hands of a maker who is accountable for it.
More Than Furniture
Solid wood behaves differently from particleboard: it takes on a patina, it can be sanded and refinished, and it tends to look better in year ten than in year one. Our pieces are made to age well and to become part of the ordinary daily life of a room.
Made to Fit Your Space
Rooms are rarely standard. For many of our pieces we can adjust dimensions, change the finish, or alter details so the piece fits the space you actually have.
