Shipping policy

Our goal is a transparent, predictable shipping process for handcrafted solid wood furniture. Because our pieces are made from natural timber and many are produced to order, please read the timelines below carefully before purchasing.
Shipping Range
We currently ship within the United States only, including all 50 states.
At this time we do not ship to international destinations. We are considering expanding to other shipping areas in the future.
Please note that delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, and US territories may take longer than the times stated below and may carry an additional freight charge, which will be shown at checkout.
Order Processing Time
In-stock pieces are processed within 3–5 business days, Monday to Saturday.
Made-to-order and custom pieces require 10–20 business days in the workshop before dispatch. The production time for each item is shown on its product page.
Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day.
Transit Time
- Standard parcel items: 5–10 business days after dispatch
- Oversized or freight items: 7–15 business days after dispatch
Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to weather, carrier delays, and other factors outside our control.
Total Delivery Time
Total delivery time is the sum of processing time and transit time:
- In-stock pieces: 8–15 business days from order to delivery
- Made-to-order pieces: 15–35 business days from order to delivery
Shipping Costs
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and dimensions. All costs are shown clearly before you complete your order — there are no hidden fees added afterwards.
Large furniture items such as dining tables, benches, wardrobes, and vanities may ship by freight carrier and carry a higher shipping cost than smaller decor items.
Carriers and Tracking
We ship with established national carriers and freight partners appropriate to the size of each piece. When your order is dispatched you will receive an email containing a tracking number.
If you have not received tracking information, or if the tracking number does not work, please contact us at support@woodrooted.com and we will resolve it.
Delivery of Large Items
Freight deliveries are typically kerbside, meaning the carrier will unload the item at the kerb rather than carry it indoors. Please ensure someone is available to receive and move the item, and check in advance that doorways, staircases, and lifts can accommodate the dimensions listed on the product page.
Most freight carriers will contact you in advance to schedule a delivery appointment. If a scheduled delivery is missed, redelivery fees charged by the carrier may be passed on.
Insurance, Loss and Damage
All shipments are insured in transit. Please inspect your order on delivery and report any damage to us within 48 hours, with photographs of both the item and its outer packaging, so that we can file a carrier claim on your behalf.
For freight deliveries, please note any visible damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing. This greatly strengthens a damage claim.
If a package is confirmed lost in transit, we will send a replacement or issue a full refund.
Unexpected Delays
In some cases delivery may take longer than the times stated here, for example during peak holiday periods or severe weather. If your order is taking unusually long, please contact us and we will help resolve anything within our control.
Incorrect Addresses
Please check your shipping address carefully at checkout. If you notice an error, contact us immediately — we can usually correct it before dispatch. Once an order has shipped, address changes may not be possible, and re-delivery costs arising from an incorrect address provided by the customer are the customer's responsibility.
We are unable to ship to PO Boxes for freight or oversized items.
Packaging
We use protective, largely recyclable packaging and aim to minimise plastic wherever the fragility of the piece allows.
